Just over a week ago she looked very different.
The day after the incident.
A couple of days later after a wash and a tidy up of the area.
Now she’s back home an looking good again.

Did they just respray the bumper cover and restore the light or did they replace the parts?

The bumper was sanded smooth. The sharp crease was filled out and then the whole thing resprayed and lacquered. Still waiting on the new tail light as it’s on back order so we’ll get a call when it’s in and they’ll swap over the tail light.
The damage on the light doesn’t look bad and isn’t really noticeable until you get close up and see where the sharp crease on the tail light which is followed from the body has been scuffed and blunted slightly.

Looks good now. That paint color looks like it would be a massive pain to match. I hadn’t even noticed that the tail light was still damaged in the photos.

Ye’, my computer is being a dick at the best of times. I use my Blackberry to post the pictures as trying to ‘copy’ or ‘copy picture’ and then trying to paste it on my Windows 10 laptop and desktop results in a generic grey and white image and a grey and white ‘barber poll’ roll at the bottom of the image.

Ye’, the crease that goes from the lower right of the silver reflective area sloping down to the left towards the Superb badge has a scuff.
The car is only five months old and the fleck in the paint is very small so as long as they got the code right it would be a perfect match.

She’s got to go back for the new tail light when it arrives though but otherwise she looks great.
Added a new glass sealant to the windscreen to try so all is going good.
How are you keeping?

That's good I imagine your car being that new it would not be easy finding the tail light. I'm doing good for a short day at work today so I'm happy for that.

Short days are good days. You feel like your playing hooky but without the worry of being caught out.
If it was done at a Skoda dealership. Chances are they would of taken one off a stock car and replaced it when the ordered tail light arrived.
But hey. The damaged one doesn’t look bad so when the replacement comes we’ve just got to pop back and they’ll swap it over.
